To the movies!

A few weeks ago I went to the movies here and saw Cloverfield.  I know it showed ages ago in the US, but movies get here very late.  It was my first time at this specific theater and I was really surprised, especially at the size of the screen.  I had never seen a screen so small at a movie theater.  I'd say, imagine the biggest flat TV you've ever seen (maybe 103 inches?) and that was it.  I remember when I was younger I used to go to a movie theater, they showed the movies a few weeks late for only like 50 cents.  Of course, among the attendants there were always the occasional cockroach and maybe a little mouse but who cares?  It was only 50 cents!!  Even in that theater, they had a bigger screen.  *LOL*  This is the Dominican Republic though, anything can happen here.  A few changes here and there, a new discount home theater seating and you could easily mistake this particular theatre for a living room.
