What's the hype with mineral makeup these days? It seems that being in the Dominican Republic has put me a little behind when it comes to new things out in the stores. There's mineral makeup everywhere and it's supposed to be good. So I don't mind. I am not a makeup freak though. I just use the basics unless it's a special occasion.
Ever since I came home, I've been to the beach two times. Both times I haven't used sunblock and that is really worrying. I'm a little hypochondriac about that. I bought a bottle of 30SPF sun block already. I love the beach! It's already the season in Puerto Rico!!
I am a huge fan of console games and PC games. I really want a Nintendo DS for now, as I can't afford a PS3. My all-time favorite game is The Sims 2, but I haven't been able to play it in a long time. I don't know what's wrong; I can install it but it won't run. Maybe the CDs are a little scratched after so many years of use and installing and uninstalling them. Of course that has got me beyond frustrated. I need my game!! So, what can I do?
My husband is trying to fix his old PS2. Chipped, of you know what that means.
:o)
My in-laws are saying that I'm at the verge of becoming and anorexic/bulimic. I eat, but I am always complaining about the fact that I see myself getting fatter and fatter when the scale gives me the same numbers over and over. I know I've gained a few pounds. The mirror tells me so. My jeans tell me so. So, what's wrong with the scale? Or am I going crazy? Probably, but that doesn't make me an anorexic or a bulimic...just a hard mental case. Check out Anoretix, a new weight loss product. The name is kinda scary, so I don't know.
How beautiful are these gold bangles? I like that they're not too much. My wedding ring is exactly like that, very delicate. It's a bridal set with diamonds. Sometimes I wish I had a bigger ring but I've never been too into huge gold jewelry. I am more into the funky stuff: wood, beads, sea shells, and stuff. My sister works at Zales, and (as I've mentioned before) she's obsessed with watches and jewels. She's trying to make me get more jewelry, and I have to admit I've gotten some new stuff. Nothing too big though. Except the watch. Now, if I was offered a beautiful set of chocolate pearls, I would never say no! Right, BULLETPROOFsoul?
Last night we visited one of my husband's aunts. They live in the mountain side, and they have a nice house there. Next to their house his aunt's husband has built a beautiful, beautiful cottage. It resembles the typical Puerto Rican houses of the 50's, and they have even decorated it that way. I loved it there. Somehow I was transported to that time when I didn't even exist but that I know a lot about because my parents have told. The house has a huge patio with some patio furniture. I could imagine some kids and a few dogs running around there freely, not a care in the world. Obviously this man has put a lot of effort in the little house, he's so proud of it! I would be too!! Next time I go I will take pictures for sure. It is just lovely there.
Alcohol must be a natural diuretic. When you're drinking, especially beer, you have to go to the bathroom a lot. Once you go the first time, the case is lost. Yeah, it happens to me. And it happens to other people too. No, I'm not an alcoholic. But I do enjoy my very cold beer(s) from time to time. Ask my belly. Do I need incontinence supplies? Who knows? The drunk inconstinence can be cured by not drinking, so...
I was thinking about getting Slim-Shots, it's a shot that you drink and it's supposed to reduce your appetite making you feel full and therefore making you eat less. I read some reviews online and I think I'm going to try it out. I know I am always preaching against diet pills but this is not a diet pill. It's an appetite suppressant. You know that while on Weight Watchers I lost 35+ pounds, but for the last 2-3 months I haven't really been following the program and I have gained a few pounds. The problem is that when my weight started rounding in the 140's my WW points were dropped to 20 and that has never been enough. I love food, I love to eat, I am not naturally skinny, and it's impossible to feel full eating 20 points a day when I don't eat salads or many vegetables. If you don't really understand all this Weight Watchers talk, please skip to the next post. With 20 points I don't feel satisfied, I am always hungry. So, what can I do? Either eat like crazy (like I've been doing) and gain all the weight back and more or try some other alternatives. What do you think?
I checked Orovo too but that seems more of the same.
Both my sister and my brother are obsessed with watches. My brother likes ridiculously expensive watches, and my sister likes to collect them. No wonder I'm the ugly duckling. I recently bought the most expensive watch I've ever had, and I did it influenced by my sister (of course). She's my fashion guru and my shopping assistant. I love my new watch. It's sophisticated and stylish. I love the diamonds too. I'm thinking about getting a more sporty one too, less informal. And maybe get a Rolex Daytona for my husband. LOL. Is this watch thing contagious? Oh, I guess I have finally developed into a swan. Hmm, don't think so.
How convenient a shower stool would be? I totally want one!! I am lazy like that. I would spend the entire day in the shower. Haha. It would be great when I have to shave or wash my hair. I'm loving showers here. The water pressure is great and there's hot water. In the Dominican Republic, apart from not having a water heater, the water pressure is so low that you don't feel clean when you're done with your shower. I think that's why both water heaters we had broke. They burned or something. Also, they were electrical water heaters and with the electricity going out every few days and the voltage changes, no electrical equipment is safe.
Check out these corsets. Ben thinking about getting some, you know. To spice things up! LOL, kidding! I was thinking about getting one for the bride at that wedding I went last week in the Dominican Republic. I'm ashamed to admit that I was never able to give her anything. Never is too late though. I am probably going to see her again in a couple of weeks. Ok, a corset is something you give in a bachelorette (sp?) party but she never had one, so. I don't know. What do you think?
