Now that Kiri is older, he likes to lay down on soft places. When he was younger, we tried getting him different pet beds but he never used them. He would so much rather sleep on the floor. Maybe the heat, I don't know.
These days, he lays down on anything he sees on the floor. Could be a bag, the newspaper, or any kind of cloth. It's cute. My mother fixed him a quilt and a pillow that he uses sometimes when he sleeps in the awning where he prefers to sleep lately.
Sometimes he wants to sleep inside and he howls until he is let in. I compare him to an elder man. That's exactly how he behaves. Sometimes he seems to be tired and sick, other times he perks up and looks great. I am going to take him to the vet for a throrough check up before I go back to the Dominican Republic.
There will always be a soft spot for Kiri in my heart.
Every night, around 10 PM, I take out the dogs. The dogs include: Kiri (the 12 year-old), Rocco (the Dominican 6 month-old), and Susie. Susie is 7 months old, she's my grandmother's dog. My grandmother isn't allowed to have her in her apartment, so she is staying here indefinitely. Kiri is slow and quiet, Rocco is very smart and never goes too far away from me. But Susie? Susie is wild! I take them out so they can enjoy the bathroom vanities of the outside. Oh, and I do it without a leash. Kiri was trained from early on, and we never have any problems with him. He walks right by me, does his stuff and the comes back in. Surprisingly, Rocco is behaving a lot like Kiri. He is sweet! Susie, well, Susie is another story. She runs around like crazy, and always decides to come back before the others are done. I've decided to just let her be. She likes her freedom. I do worry about her getting hit by a car or something, so from now on the poor thing will have to go out on a leash. That means suicide for her, but what can I do? She's untrainable. It must be her never-ending hunger. She is annoying, but oh so cute!
I am always dreaming about the way I'll decorate my house. I love to watch TV, so a nice plasma TV with it's own plasma mount would be great. I'd love a nice big garden for the dogs to go out and enjoy the outdoors. Of course, a computer room and a library. I always thought I'd be more of an apartment kind of lady but that's it until I lived in an apartment in the Dominican Republic and realized there's nothing like having a house with a big yard and being able to go outside and enjoy nature.
I wish I could link directly to the video, but I don't know how. Please, check it out. It's the cutest thing ever.
